The Prescription with Dr. Crab

Breakdown:
Dr. Crab was born in Queens, NY and spent the first 10 years of his life living on Long Island. Kids at that time treated the Yankees as if they were a religion. Spring training games were like candy and were followed up by pounding a tennis ball down the street.
At 10 the good Doctor (then but an intern) moved to Suburban Maryland, just north of DC. DC was a completely different sports landscape where football was King. The Redskins were winning Super Bowls. The neighborhood kids were tossing around the K2, drawing up plays on their chests and inadvisably tackling sans helmets.
Eventually Dr. Crab was to attend college at Wesleyan University. He graduated with an English major and has channeled his love of sports into a column fresh from the Crab-pot to you. Enjoy it with Old Bay…
